The Lassiter Education Foundation is a North Carolina 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding educational, recreational, and enrichment opportunities for young people throughout Wake County. We believe a child’s potential should not be limited by a family’s ability to pay for an opportunity that could make a meaningful difference.

Our mission is straightforward: to help remove financial barriers that might otherwise prevent a young person from participating in an educational, recreational, enrichment, or community experience.
Rooted in Wake County
The Lassiter Education Foundation was established in 2019 by Wake County native, educator, and school administrator Dr. Scott Lassiter.
The Foundation grew from a simple belief: expectations matter, opportunities matter, and sometimes a relatively small investment in a young person’s life can have an impact that lasts for years.
With the support of a volunteer board, the Foundation works to connect students with opportunities that can broaden horizons, build confidence, and encourage future success.
